Moroccodesertravel is a local tour company headquartered in Marrakech and has a branch in Merzouga in the south east of Morocco. We specialise in offering guided and custom made tours and day-trips all over Morocco for individuals, couples, families, and small groups according to their budget, frame time and to your styles of travelling.

We are native Moroccans and local experts who have spent several years working for the tourism industry. Our team of experienced drivers and guides have got a wide knowledge, an endless love and passion towards our cultural heritage and history, the magnificent landscapes that highlights our Morocco as well as the awareness to each client’s needs and satisfactions.

In 2007, the Moroccodesertravel company was founded by its owner Ali Oukhouya who is a native Moroccan from the desert Sahara where he spent his childhood living a nomadic life with his extended family. The lack of water, desertification and other cruel circumstances led his father to sell his share of the herds and move to the town of Merzouga where Ali was schooled.

In 2005 he graduated at the University of Moulay Ismail in Meknes where he got his BA in English for Tourism and Heritage. Since then, he handled desert tours and cultural tours for large and well-known companies touring around Morocco.
